Passover Mousse

I came across this simple and easy Passover recipe from the cookbook “Second Helpings Please!” from the Mount Sinai Chapter of the Montreal B’nai B’rith Women, published in 1968.

It’s a blast from the past that children and grandchildren can make with you. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

3 oz. Pkg. Kosher strawberry jello

3 oz. Pkg. Kosher lemon jello

1/12 cup boiling water per pkg.

1 pt. Strawberries, hulled

1 can peaches, drained

1 pt. whipping cream

Dissolved each package of jello in 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Mix well. Chill until partially set. Slice strawberries and peaches and set aside. Whip cream. Fold half into the strawberry jello and add berries. Fold remaining whipped cream into the lemon jello, and add peaches. Pour half of the strawberry jello mixture into a 2 qt. mold. Top with half the lemon jello mixture. Repeat once again. Chill 4 hours. Unmold, and garnish with whole strawberries. 12 servings.
